Who should upgrade?
- If you want newer features and better call processing → AirPods 4 adds Voice Isolation and the H2 chip.
- If you want USB-C charging → AirPods 4 replaces the AirPods 3 Lightning case with USB-C.
- If you want Active Noise Cancellation → choose AirPods 4 with ANC; standard AirPods 4 does not have ANC.
- If you use AirPods during workouts or outdoors → AirPods 4’s IP54 rating adds dust resistance compared with AirPods 3’s IPX4 rating.
- If you’re satisfied with AirPods 3’s battery life and sound → the upgrade is mainly about the newer H2 platform, design, connectivity, durability and additional features.
